It was reported by every media outlet around that Ascaridis was hired by DNR as a PSA in August of 2003 as a part-time employee in Whiteside County and moved one month later to DuPage County and made full-time. She did pass the "test" for that title. However, the charges against DeFraties and Casey allege that she was given "special treatment" on an application from December of 2004 for the title of SPSA.
