We also found a ballot that had been partially voted stuck in the middle of a shrink-wrapped batch that came from the Election Board. There could have been more that voters didn't notice because the races being voted were the ones few people care about.
Plus people were being refused a legit ballot because the stubborn judges don't understand what they are doing. It is a power trip for them.
BARACK OBAMA 4,076 47.93
HILLARY CLINTON 3,928 46.19
Obama isn't the most popular of guys in the deep south.
I did.
Looks like Suffredin has lost.
the bad guys won...the good guys got whomped.
What's going on with Eddie Washington's race? Looks like he's only up by 100 or so votes.
Speaking of which- Andy Martin will likely end the night with the endorsement of 200,000 Illinoisans.
Something else that doesn't get talked about as much with the much-heralded "youth vote" is how girl-heavy it is. I had a pollwatcher friend email me earlier, "Do any men under the age of 25 vote in Chicago anymore? All the younger voters coming into my precinct are women." Women outvote men in general now, but it's especially pronounced now in the under-thirties.
At least one good guy won tonight. :)
Yeah, I kinda liked the guy. But let's see how long he sticks around Utica.
Baldermann will have a tough race as Deb Halvorson has built up a good following in the east part of the 11th.
And how about Joe Serra, who didn't really campaign, edging out Jotham Stein, an attorney who put in a good bit of $, for 3rd place in the 14th D primary?

State’s Attorney race is wide open. But, Alvarez will get womens vote and appears to have some momentum. With that said, here is my prediction.
Alvarez will pull off a Giant type of upset.
Alvarez- 26%
Allen- 23%
Larry- 22%
Brookins 21%
Milan 6%
Brewer 2%

The northwest Cook suburbs saw a huge swing toward the Dems in Rep. Krause's open seat. I posted on it at Illinois Reason.

I pray, that the awful bigots out there, that when they show their faces, that they show the majority of America, that the color of this country is different shades of gray, not just black & white.
