That is WAY more frightening than the shirts.

Re: Morning shorts

darn you for beating me to the punch wonderboy. i started my comment and had it open to finish something else, and i finally post only to see you already did. grrr.

i agree with anon 9:33 as well ... let's hear it, rich.

Re: Morning shorts

Just FYI ... CafePress doesn't run those shops, they just provide the technology for others to do so. So buy away.

Re: Morning shorts

Great SNL sketch!

Re: Morning shorts

Just so everyone understands...cafepress allows anyone to design a shirt and post it for sale. The designer can set the price and cafepress then takes only the cost to print and deliver out of the sale. In other words, this isn't a cafepress thing, just someone from Illinois trying to make a buck or two early on...though they are apparently not someone I would like to spend much time with.

Re: Morning shorts

Rich,
Last weak you teased us with a reference to a new Republican primary poll. Can you give us some details?

Re: Morning shorts

Went to the t-shirt page, threw up, just a little though, caught it before it came out of my mouth. More disturbing to look at than war photos.

Re: Morning shorts

Yesterday's Springfield J-R editorial slammed Ryan for taking employee $$ as Christmas gifts and were outraged at this behavior. Where have they been the last 20 years? Where was the outrage when Big Jim Thompson took five $100 bills from an ex-felon as Christmas gift (look it up)? How about the "Thompson shelf" at the now closed antique shop on Monroe street where the things he wanted were placed "in the event someone was looking for a suitable gift for him". (It was the top shelf on the East wall.)
How about Edgar? Not only were the employees assesed a predetermined amount for his Christmas gift, but assessed again for his birthday present! At least once this went to buy a substantial gift-certificate at Herron' clothing store where Edgar liked to buy his clothes. Where's the difference?

Re: Morning shorts

I bought one of those shirts. I will be wearing it proudly this softball season. Hey if we can get him at least involved in the primary he will be out of the state and not just out of Springfield. Yes I am a Republican.

Re: Morning shorts

He stands about as much of a chance as Jeffrey Dalmer. What is so nice about all the investigations and bad pr on Blago is it is making him spend his political future.

Re: Morning shorts

Apparently, they are also selling Al Sharpton, Donald Trump and Bruce Springsteen for President in 2008 t shirts as well. I would venture a guess that at present, Rod might poll about as well as Sharpton and would run a bit behind Springsteen and Trump.

Re: Morning shorts

I've bought dog related items from CafePress. Please tell me this is a joke!! I will never shop with them again if they are really making this T-Shirt, etc. He was useless the first time he went to Washington. He is not improving with age.

Re: Morning shorts

Rich:

How about a moment to remember the birth of our 40th President Ronald Wilson Reagan? Born February 6, 1911 in little Tampico, IL. Even the most ardent of Democrats could take a little pride in the Gipper having been the only Illinois born U.S. President.

By the way, his son Michael Reagan will be speaking at this father's alma mater, Eureka College this evening. Go to www.eureka.edu for more details!

Re: Morning shorts

I saw this online and it truly frightened me.
