Ask yourself this question whenever you see fit...
Bill: Honey, you didn't pack anything extra in your purse tonight, did you? This is a rally we don't want to disrupt.
Bernie: Yes, dear, I didn't bring any fireworks along. Now you just remember not to throw anything at the cops, ok?
Bill: Yes, dear. Do you have the stash?
Bernie: Yes. I have to remember everything in this household. Now let's get going before one of those awful Rezkos take our seats.
B. Sorry Rich, BUT YOU HAVE NO SENSE OF FASHION!!

Wasn't it Louanner Peters who was making the statewide tours recently? I thought she was in the running, too.
And what about Colonel Jill? Once she sends Roskam on his merry way, she can be in line for the promotion.
And heard some rumblings about Dan Seals, but don't know how that would wash out if he wins.
And I would love to buy some news papers. If only the costs didn't include equipment and other operative expenses. Buying shares is probably another story.
More likely it's going to be "Thanksgiving". On the way....

$150K to cover the caribou skid marks seems like a bargain...Does she have to get it back at the end? Will she have a TV show with Dan Quayle?
I never thought I would hear as US Attorney use the same buffet metaphor my dad used to use (don't fill up on the stuff at the front, save room for the stuff at the end of the line).
Never thought the current gang in Springfield would be able to provide this much comic relief.
I suspect Jake will never get the credit he is due if Obama ends up president.
I find it hard to believe that the same state senate that produced Obama has some of the folks it does in it.
I think Sneed has a random senate replacement name generator, looking forward to seeing Anne Burke, Sugar Rothbord and Bill Curtis all being named as possible replacements. She cant go more than a month without mentioning a Burke.
If you could sit quietly in a room with Rod Blagojevich for more than a minute, you could hear 13 million Illinoians screaming.
It is said that once a month, Joe Biden's left hand inexplainably slaps him in the face six times. Then tries to strangle him.
There is a digital archive of old CapitolFax postings staffed by a digital version of Bill.
Once, I followed a rainbow, and it lead me to Michael Madigan's desk. But the pot was empty, the gold was gone and Lisa was handed me a summons.
Democratic policies is like Nutrasweet, except they have twice the sweetness and half the nutrition.
If it wasn't for Global Warming, Jane Byrne could still be Mayor, and road salt more precious than gold.
Or should I not even ask this question?
Blago certainly hasn't let offending Barack get in the way of making dumb decisions. From threatening to call special sessions during election crunch time to saying Palin is qualified because she is a Governor to bringing up Obama every time someone mentions Rezco, our Governor doesn't seem to care about offending the future Prez, so my deep thought is this.
Would our current Governor try to use the Senate selection as a bargaining chip to ease legal troubles?

Do blue bloods like Crane H. Kenney bleed Cubbie blue and does it matter?
Do you get the feeling that Jesse Sr. would love to see Barack lose?
We all think you are like our favorite crazy uncle that needs supervision around sharp objects.
I wonder if this will further ignite his desire to run against Daley for mayor in 2010.
I think Junior's got his eye on the Senate, not mayor.
As for Senior, Bill, I hope you're not suggesting Ambassador to Norway is some kind of punishment or exile. Beautiful country, wonderful people, but I'm biased in a big way.
I remember when being a legislator, senator or president meant something other than a way to become a millionaine.
I remember when someone who owned a business that handled taxpayers money was scrupulously honest.
I remember when politicians didn't wear Savile Row suits and Ferragamo shoes.
I remember when politicians at all levels showed up at the office for the majority of each year.
I remember when you could take a man's word to the bank.
I remember when people lived within their means, paid their taxes, paid their own mortgages and didn't try to be what they were not.
I remember when people used to be satisfied if they could pay their bills, have a home, friends and good kids.
I remember when the story of Diogenes taking his lamp in search of an honest man was less frequently quoted.
He has:
Given us up
let us down
Run around
Hurt us
told us lies
made us cry
But every pop song eventually runs its course.

Good, then you probably also remember when people's means went a lot farther than they do today.

I remember calling the toll free number (actually, it might have been a Springfield number) every day after school to find out what things went on at the 1970 Con-Con that day.
Now, I'm looking forward to someone live blogging the 2010 Con-Con.
Now we just go down to the governor's mansion to watch the snow melt on the driveway with our faces pressed between the wrought iron fence for our entertainment. (Not really, but it sounds pathetic enough.)
Just vote for McCain/Palin and then be patient.
...I never had to wonder about what a sign in a foreign language at a Used Car Dealer's on Route 12--saying "No License, No Problem!"--meant to the rest of us.
...I could look forward to someday getting some major dental work done with the extra $$ I'd have when I stopped paying for my kids' health insurance (because they were now funding their own) v. worrying about being forced to pay the same $$ (maybe more) for someone else's kids' insurance--and wondering about exactly how many kids there were and whether they'd EVER grow up.

I even remember when most people in this Country seemed to believe that we were Americans first and "Global Citizens" living in a "Global Village" second--and that we actually realized what would happen if the order changed.
