Obama is doing that in spite of Gibbs. Remember, Gibbs is the guy that was in charge of Kerry's campaign when Dean emerged and forced Kerry to move irrevocably to the left. He was gone from the Kerry campaign not long after. Plus, wasn't he responsible for the anti-dean commercial that incorporated Bin Laden? I cannot believe Barack would hire someone who would make such an offensive commercial. Gibbs is a loose cannon.
