Hendon's headlines with Kelley and Axley would lend credibility to another ad slogan, reminscient of the dog "Snot" on Christmas Vacation:

Ricky Hendon: You don't want him around if you're wearing short pants, if you know what I mean."

To the Edward Hospital fiasco, I thought that this administration has determined that their rules don't need JCAR approval. How can they use rulemaking as an excuse in this case?
  • DumberThanYouThink · 1 year ago
We needed the rules when Wyma, Wilhelm, etc. were lobbying against each other. Now that they are all being "tangential" with the G or getting "tangentialed" by the G, The rules are not necessary.
Getting Tangentialed looks like a new term of art for the gang at DumberThanYouThink. Yipeee !

Didn't Edward Hospital blow the whistle on the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board concerning kickbacks when Levine and others were running the show?
  • Rich Miller · 1 year ago
    Yep.

Every time a hospital or other health care-related business gets the shaft from this administration, we should remember the quote attributed to Blagojevich: "you stick with us and you'll do well for yourself". Having IDPH provide support for the IHFPB is like having the fox guard the hen house. The state needs an independent authority - with no connections either directly or "tangentially" to the Governor's Office - to oversee health care facilities in Illinois. Period.

Does the Bedi piece have a union bug? Secondly, does it matter?
  • Anon · 1 year ago
I received the Bedi piece in the mail today and it does have the Union bug on it. The two women in the mailer are pretty - hope they are okay now. Powerful piece.

Looks like Hendon has strong opposition in a district that is changing.

Jerry Lack's has turned up the heat on Mike Boland in their race for the State House. Lack's first mail piece arrived today and it was slick. The mail piece calls for "a new direction in Illinois" and touts Lack's experience as Lane Evan's Economic Development Director. The mail piece is designed to boost Lack's name identification and tout his ties to organized labor.

The three women candidates - including art turner's opponent - running on ricky's ticket, taking ricky's money, sharing ricky's office space, and agreeing to joint ricky yard signs ... might want to rethink who they are running with.

It looks like "Hollywood" is starting to become as toxic to candidates on the westside of chicago as G-ROD is to downstaters.

I hope this doesn't bring down Larry Suffredin's chances on the westside.

Is there any relationship between this Bedi candidate and Rajinder Bedi, who works for DCEO? The DCEO Bedi is a major, major fundraiser for the Gov.
