Take a look at the reader comments on the above "Divorce Can Derail Candidates" story. Careen Gordon's ex-husband has apparently waded further into the race and posted additional comments about her. This is getting pretty nasty.

Great TV story and great issue for Representative Franks. Ironically, him jumping on that issue and getting TV coverage for it is dare I say, Blago-esque. The difference is that Rep. Franks studied the issue and thought about it first, drafted a bill and then talked to the press about it - not the other way around.

Rich, if you contend this Rambler blog is violating state laws, why do you keep giving it so much play?

Hey, I'm also of the opinion that the Blagojevich administration has violated some laws, but I still cover it.

There's a difference btwn covering & legitimizing, dontcha think? If there's a story here, let's have it. If the HGOPers are behind the blog & breaking the law to do it, that's much more interesting than the ramblings of Careen Gordon's ex.

The only way to find this out is to get them to admit it's them, which they aren't doing, or slap Blogger.com with a subpoena, which I won't do. Until then, it's better to watch what they're doing than ignore them, particularly since the local decatur paper is also watching.

    I shall welcome martyrdom.

If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine (ok, that's actually obi wan kenobi, but you get the drift).

Why would the HGOPS be doing anything close to being illegal?
